The Sardinian sub-region named Monte Acuto is located between Meilogu and Gallura sub-regions, in the central northern part of the Island. It is mostly composed of plains and hills, while a mountainous area is located in the South Eastern part of it (with the high plateau of Buddusò).
Here is an area by the ancient shepherds traditions, famed for its excellent sheep cheeses (“pecorino” cheese). It shows a very interesting geographical conformation thanks to its varied landscapes: green valleys, medium and high hills, mountains unveil in harmonious succession, with an astoundingly rich flora species, perfect prelude for the production of astounding high quality natural honeys.
From Monte Acuto, we have selected for you a wonderfully perfumed wildflowers honey, made in the small village of Cuzzola (OT). Here is a craftsman’s honey, of dark golden colour, limpid, strongly floral, merry, aromatic, and wisely balanced. This wildflowers natural honey is an authentic nectar from the uncontaminated nature which reigns in this area.
We suggest to taste it on aged cheeses.
Our wildflowers honey cannot be found on the shelves of conventional mass market shops, and is available in limited quantities due to its craftsman processing methods.
